“I appreciate Mike’s “full picture” approach to guitar lessons. Along with technique and music theory that is found in a typical lesson, Mike's curriculum emphasizes aspects that are not normally taught and are usually left to the student to discover on their own, often poorly. Instruction is given on several unique aspects such as studio recording, stage presence, and how to be successful and confident playing in a band environment, which is what I ultimately want to achieve. The 6-month semester is well structured but also adapts routinely to ensure new techniques and musical styles are introduced to continue to further my personal growth as a musician.“
