“I originally started learning how to play guitar in 2009, however I never really was satisfied with prior instruction from previous teachers. I wound up getting my knowledge from online sources and the Rocksmith video game. Although, I learned how to play some songs, I also gained many bad habits. I originally met Mike in 2016 and nearly started taking lessons then I was laid off from work. For the next 3 years, my thought was to start taking lessons from Mike at the next opportunity and in 2019, the opportunity came.
Taking lessons from Mike has been the best experience in learning how to play guitar. He uses his experience to help me improve my overall playing technique. He makes his lessons relevant by applying them to playing songs that guitar players want to play. And it's not every day that you run into a facility that has a recording studio where you can record and hear your own guitar playing. To top it all off, you (yes you) can apply all Mike's instructions to actually performing in front of people!!!
